Delivering Meals to Home-bound Seniors
Preparing meals can sometimes be a challenge. Volunteers of America Colorado delivers frozen meals to residents age 60+ living in Fort Collins and Larimer County’s northern towns and communities. The meals are delivered in boxes of five or seven meals and consist of an entrée and accompaniments such as vegetables, fruits, bread, and milk. Meals can be heated in either the oven or microwave. Deliveries are made once a week Monday through Friday, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Individuals in the program receive their meals on the same day of each week and usually from the same volunteer driver.
